Hi h-s-fire

I carried raw woofers with Altech horns for years (that you had to align physically…someone in the room listening while you slid the drivers into alignment with the magnets in the woofer).

I've never felt the need to have horns (or piezos) in my electric amps.

I'm not sure about your crate system, but 10" woofers tend to give a pretty hot treble/high-end by themselves with no assistance.
