Default Wren Guitar 4 TAMCO: Waterfall Figure Bubinga!

Hi Folks ... I'll be documenting a build that will be going to Trevor at TAMCO ... a real one-of-a-kind. I'm definitely excited about this one! It's one of my Remuda Hybrid models with a Master Grade Lutz top, a stunning set of Bubinga for the back and sides, ebony peghead veneer and backstrap, a segmented back strip and decorative end-graft with all mitered purfling joints. Hope you enjoy watching!

Looking forward to this one! I bought a spalted waterfall bubinga set last year for a tenor uke build. It's been on hold during a move but it's about time I got cracking on it. Will be following your progress closely!

That is an amazing set of wood. I've seen waterfall Bubinga before but never with such an intriguing figure. Nice shot, too.

Beautiful set of Bubinga. Going to be a fine guitar and looking forward to seeing the progress.

Just noticed ... the caption at the bottom of the photo should read "Laminating the solid LINING" ... oops

David, your set looks fantastic. Waterfall Bubinga is one of our favorite woods, and it makes a fine instrument. This will be a fun thread to follow.
Did the sides want to facet on you as you bent them?

Steve

Hey Steve ... I know exactly what you mean about bending waterfall figure Bubinga ... not for the faint of heart, that's for sure! Thanks for taking the time to pop in to this thread!

Hi David! These aren't the best pics but it gives you an idea. My plans include either Sitka spruce or curly redwood for the top, ebony fretboard and bridge, mahogany neck. Rest is still undecided. Probably a few more months before I start the build.
