Default Nice article on POPPIN' GUITARS CD

The March issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine has a nice little write-up on the Poppin' Guitars CD (the fingerstyle tribute to the Sherman Brothers). I was fortunate enough to be invited to contribute a track to the project... and the article has some comments about the thought process behind my arrangement.

The article was written by another AGF member, Doug Young.

Here's a link to the online version of the article:

Bump.

I just got the CD/DVD yesterday. There is some AMAZING fingerstyle work on this CD. Every tune is a masterpiece. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the CD and watching the behind the scenes stuff on the DVD.

That's actually a splendid idea, including a DVD with the CD. That's one way to increase sales of physical media again.
If you order from Amazon, you get a $3 credit to download any songs from their music store. They have a vast selection.

Jim's arrangement of "The Slipper and the Rose Waltz" is superb and is played masterfully. Our old friend Elto Haselhoff also has a track on there, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", I didn't think there was any way a person could arrange a solo fingerstyle piece for guitar with this song, but Elto pulled it off and it's a delightful tune.

My favorite of course it TE's version of "Winnie the Pooh".
