Default Browsing other Categories on AGF

First of all, I applaud everyone that has a hand in keeping this sight up and running. So many people have benefited from this forum and they should be commended.

My question is, how many of you take time to look at the other sub categories on the forum? The reason I ask is, I asked for help on the Amplification page and, while I received great feedback, it did not generate as many responses as the posts I have made on the General page. As I began to write this, there were over 300 viewers on the general and way fewer than that on all other pages combined.

I wondered if others would have had great input on my Amplification post had they browsed that page.

Just being curious. I certainly appreciate all the help I have received from time to time. Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!!

Most of the traffic on the forum appears to come here to talk about the guitars themselves, strings and stuff, not listen to the guitar music in "Show and Tell" or talk about actually playing them in "Play"

That might seem odd at first, but probably 80% of our membership are older musicians who have gigged forever and heard enough guitar music for a lifetime and know how to play,

I'm always bouncing around between the general, s&t, play, record and open mic sub forums. I'm rarely in the other subsections. I do pop into the custom build and classifieds from time to time to drool over guitars.

I tend to click on the "Today on the AGF" tab.

It provides a nice variety of most of the sub-forums, from which I can pick and choose.

I check out General, Custom Shop, Show and Tell, and Classical every night.

I have a $10 pawn shop amp to test the pickup on guitars when I buy them. I've never played through that amp or any amp. Acoustics only for me. However, once at a pawn shop I picked up an epiphone les paul and couldn't believe how much it weighed.

Hey Bob (or anyone else), do you know the difference between "New Posts" and "Today on the AGF"? A few years ago I knew the difference but I forgot. I'll click on "Today..." but never "New Posts".
