Five Famous Flatpickers Pay Tribute To Doc Watson At IBMA Bluegrass Awards Show
Watched a repeat of the 2020 IBMA Bluegrass Awards show yesterday on the Circle Network. Here's the extraordinarily entertaining Doc Watson tribute segment, featuring five famous, fabulous flatpickers playing "Black Mountain Rag"--one of Doc's signature numbers, of course:
In order of appearance: Bryan Sutton, Trey Hensley, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, and Jake Workman (who took home IBMA's Guitar Player of the Year award for 2020). Near the conclusion, they synchronize with a video of Doc Watson playing "Black Mountain Rag."

T. Michael Coleman is the bass player. Doc's bass player for years (if not decades)!

Thanks. I am a bass player but just venturing into bluegrass/traditional - so looking for inspiration and "how to do it right" and TMC's playing is a perfect primer for me.
