Do Pins Affect The Sound of CF Guitars?

Have you experimented with different bridge pins to color a CF tone?

One Emerald, two Rainsong steels, all three now have ream fitted wooden pins, because the stock tusq pins were a bit loose. It wouldn't be absolutley scientific for me to compare the sound of the tusq pins to wood, due to the fit discrepancy. The guitars sound uber fine, by the way.
