Just gorgeous!! LS Redwood seems to have a very distinctive bit of silking and presence which you don't necessarily see in other redwood tops. Almost like a "calling card"!
this instrument is just exceptional..........!!!

Like Ryan said, thank you all for such a warm reception.
Lutherie can be maddening at times--like any worthwhile pursuit can be--but it certainly has its ample rewards. Working with Steve D on this guitar was a high point for the year, and we're honored to bring some of his dreams to fruition.
Again, our thanks to all who followed along,

Steve

Working with Steve on this guitar was an absolute pleasure. He is patient, and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with every detail. I felt that there was a lot of collaboration on this instrument - especially the falling leaves inlay. As I had posted previously, this guitar, and the inlay, was a way of remembering my nephew and best friend - both of them lost to suicide. Steve really understood what I was trying to achieve with the aesthetics of this guitar. Canít wait to receive it.

Congratulations to all! What a gorgeous instrument- the falling leaves are such a wonderful tribute and the whole guitar reflects such great craftsmanship!

And I love the tone and the playability of my S. Kinnaird FS with a redwood top. It's a warm, round tone but still projects beautifully. Steve and Ryan know how to work with Redwood! I'm pretty sure you're going to love it, but I can't wait to hear your report-

Hi Steve...
This hits me in my heart, because I also lost someone very close to me, to suicide. My best friend since high school, and the most amazing guitarist Iíve ever known... chose to leave this world behind eight years ago... also leaving a void in my heart. Iím sorry for the losses that youíve experienced... but your tribute is quite fitting... and very beautiful.

Joel

Smile A FINE TRIBUTE INDEED

What a beautiful instrument and a beautiful remembrance of friends gone too soon.

I can vouch for (Sinker) Redwood over Claro Walnut!!! My RT that Tim Luranc made me for my 60th birthday 7 years ago is still one of my all time faves.

May you have many years of wonderful music with this absolute BEAUTY!!!

Way to go team

Paul
