I still play that song once in a while. It was the first tune I learned to pick circa 1960. I played it Carter style with my thumb playing the melody and my finger strumming the chords. Maybelle used her index, but I used my bird finger. These days I'll often use a flat pick.
It's a neat song and you do it well.
