Default Doerr African Blackwood/Swiss Spruce

Hey Everyone I just thought I would share a guitar that I just sent out of the shop. Its a Legacy Select cutaway with African Blackwood b&s, Swiss spruce top, ebony beveled binding with Ryan-Style bevel. Mad Rose rosette, headplates, Brazilian top trim, with mad rose fretmarkers outlined in pearl. It is a beautiful sounding guitar, too bad once I build them I have to send them away Thanks for looking!

Tom, it's really obvious all the time and effort you put into your instruments... The detail is SO classy and subtle.... Thanks for sharing!

I cant wait for my blackwood! Can you notice any specific total qualities to ABW guitars that you've built?

Wow. That is gorgeous. Just to echo what others are saying, the simplicity of the appointments are done so so very well. First class and incredible tasteful. That will be one lucky owner!

That ebony beveled binding was an outstanding decision. That guitar is a work of art.

You know Dave all I can say is that every blackwood guitar that I have built (which has been quite a few) sound absolutely beautiful. For being such a dense wood it has IMO, a very warm smooth sound with wonderful clarity, if that makes any sense. The only thing I don't like is the weight but I thin out my backs to make them very responsive and that reduces the weight quite a bit.

Looks fantastic, Tom.

Love the dark back and sides, the bevel...
