GarageBand Help
Hi to all:
I am going to use GarageBand to do a little home recording. I want to save the settings that I will create for my acoustic guitar set-up. Every time I try to save the settings I get this message: You have chosen not to show your own settings. If you save the file now it won't show in the browser unless you change your view options in the Track Info window. OK, so how do I "change [your] view options? And by doing that, will I just be able to click on that selection, and have everything preset accordingly? I'm hoping I don't need to go in and make on the relevant changes for each recording (IE which line input to use, instrument settings, etc). Any / all help will be much appreciated. Thanks! PS - if anyone knows of a site that might have a good tutorial on using GB, I would appreciate knowing about it. I could use a little help on this..... l

If it's not already open, open the Track Info window by double clicking the track, or clicking the little 'i' icon in the lower right. There's a drop-down menu with the following options: Show All, My Settings, Shared Settings and GarageBand.
When 'GarageBand' is selected, it only shows the GarageBand presets. If you select Show All, you'll see the GB presets and any that you save. |
