"Regarding the indexing tool- it is called a rotary table and is a pretty common metalworking fixture. More so before CNC

The one I am using there I did not make myself, it is a vintage Troyke table. Super handy!"

I have plenty of vices... but not one of those.

Matthew, this is really REALLY OUTSTANDING!!! I am knocked out. The engineering in the neck block is out of control. Or more accurately, perfectly controlled!

I know, right? His engineering is so out of the box. That honeycombed end block is what hooked me when I first played his guitars.

Now I'm getting a little excited!

Matthew - I've been following this build for some time and like everyone else am wowed by Burton's work.

And the goofiest thing, I was listening to his interview with Michael Bashkin, and I learned a little about his roots. Well wouldn't you know, his Mom and I graduated high school together - so his work fascinates me even more! I can't wait to see the final guitar!

Small world, right? There's a guy down here in North Havana named LeGeyt, and we cannot figure out how they're related, but they are both sure they are, based on some Connecticut confluences.
