Default One of the Best Dreads I've Ever Played

So, I have no sponsorship with SGI, but am friends with the guy who runs it.

I was helping a youth group girl look for a new Guitar, so we went to Chicago Music Exchange, and SGI this past weekend.

This dread, I played was insanely good, and you won't find a better dread for the price imho. If you are looking for a cannon of a Hog guitar, check out this.

I see sitka/mahogany dreads are available in the Green Series:

Cedar/mahogany dreads are available in the Blue and Blue Plus Series:

https://furchguitars.com/us/instrume.../blue-plus-cm/

Here's a Green D-SM available in the US:

It does seem Furch's dreads and sitka/mahogany guitars have a more limited market presence. Their cedar-topped Blue Gs and OMs, and rosewood Gs and OMs seem to rule the market presently.

Hmmmm. I know for a fact that the vintage series no longer has hog backed guitars. I was not aware that the color series Has the non custom order Mahogany option.

You are correct about the Traditional series not including mahogany...EIR only. This seems strange to me as a consumer as mahogany is pretty darn traditional. I assume Furch made this decision for reasons of production efficiency. They definitely emphasize rosewood throughout the Traditional, Green, Yellow and Orange lines, with a bit of mahogany and paduk (padauk, padouk) thrown in. I guess rosewood sells guitars...
