If you appreciate music check these guys out.
I'm a little bit ashamed to admit I never heard of these guys until today randomly perusing Youtube:
Weird name for sure, but these guys are so tight.

I really enjoyed that. I hate to pick one virtuoso out from all the others, but holy cow, what a drummer!

He is a great keyboard player.
Here is another, classically trained but moved to jazz with influences from funk and prog rock as well. She is the most technically astounding player on any instrument that I have ever seen. First clip is with her fusion/funk band. Second is in a trio. It features Steve Smith who was the drummer in Journey who is a fantastic jazz drummer. I have to lift my jaw off the floor whenever I watch her play.

Cory Henry and his Funk Apostles played at the Portland Blues Festival about 3 years ago. Great show, more vocal and funk oriented. He tours a lot under his own name and is well worth checking out if you get the chance. He played a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR recently - check it out. https://www.npr.org/2020/12/21/94764...k-home-concert

For anyone who recently discovered them, they are astounding live. Constantly playing around with arrangements.
I enjoy how consistently well they all build their solos. It is a masterclass for improvisors.

There's no doubt that each person in that group is a very talented musician, but there's just waaaay too much going on, non stop, for me to listen more than a brief time...different strokes...

They're great. But for someone who grew up listening to 80s/90s industrial (alt. rock) music, I always think of the early band, Skinny Puppy (who heavily influenced Nine Inch Nails). Much different, musically, LOL.

I first heard about them maybe 3-4 years ago in my search for my first Electric Guitar amp I had become aware of the Supro reissues and Mark Lettieri guitarist for Snarky Puppy had become an endorser for Supro
