Great story, CK. Same thing happened to me once while hiking. Had the dog many years, she was a great companion. Best wishes for happy times together!

Great story Jim. Glad to read it and catch up with what you're doing a little. Sounds great. Only too bad about Mesa Verde and the smoke in the Canyon. Worth another trip. Advance planning that will enable a tour of Mesa Verde is worth doing. Been there a few times but back when you could just go. The camp sounds good too. The dog story (and pics) are really special. Thanks again.

Great story thanks for sharing.

I will be making the rounds in September from Zion to Moab and monument valley. I had not included Canyonlands, I'll see if I can squeeze it in.
