Default A little help here would be appreciated.

I'm a big fan of Chris Stapleton's voice, songs and style. If by chance you're not familiar with him, take a little YouTube tour and see what you think.

Anyway, this particular song sort of hit home with me and I so want to imitate it. I'm having a little trouble with it and figure I'd ask here if anyone would be willing to help an idiot out here with deciphering his progression up the neck there. If not then at least enjoy the song. Thanks!

He's tuned to drop D tuning. And the first run up bit in the verse is played on the open bass string and fourth string starting at fret four, then fret five, fret seven and back down again. Is that the bit you were after?
