Default Build thread Tellier Guitars Cocobolo fan fret

I have been working on a fan fret for the last few weeks and decided to share the progress to this point.

Hey Fred,

Looking good! Is that wood from ASIA a few years ago? I remember us both digging through that pile...

Burton you have a good memory, I think you had your hands on that one also. I got 2 sets there and that was the nicest.

John I want another one also, but I have lots of other coco but not quite as nice as this one.

A few more progress photos, been busy with repairs and getting things together for a new commission so have not got as much time to work on it as I would have liked.

Jean

Ebony, just like what will go on your Quilt maple guitar. I love the look of dark bindings but the bending of ebony can be an adventure, I ruin at least one strip for each guitar.

John you're like a crack dealer. First dose of cocobolo, then you're hooked! You're right, this is my absolute favorite look for cocobolo. Great job Mr. Tellier.

OT: I got your sister set of cocobolo for the meridian.
