That is a gorgeous recording, just what I expect from a UKPhil production.

Not to be crass, but have you ever stopped by the recording section here and shared your setup details? I know it's all about the guitar and the fingers and the composition and the arrangement, but I can't buy any of those things at Sweetwater Sound!! So I need to know about your mics (grin).

Thanks for the extremely kind comments there Fran!!

I use a matched pair of Oktava MK-012 mics and a Audient iD14 interface into my laptop. My DAW is Reaper for editing and EQ when required. After that I use a free Wavepad sound editor for top and tailing, NR and volume adjustment. I use Audacity for reverb when I feel like it it needs it. I usually record in the corner of my bedroom as can be seen from the videos and the only thing else I do when recording for a 'proper' track for a CD or Bandcamp download project (see link below) is hang a quilt up behind me all very simple and inexpensive. I do get proper tracks mastered by someone who knows what they are doing.

With regard to videos I keep them as simple as possible using another free video app for filming via my laptop webcam whilst recording in Reaper at the same time. I process the audio as described above then chuck both the video and WAV audio into Windows Movie Maker and add a bit if text etc.

I know at some stage I'll have to sort out a proper video editing app but my main interest is the music.........

Your recordings are excellent advertisements for Oktava and Audient! I PMed a few thoughts on your workflow ...
