Default Fess Up, Are You Watching Picard?

They sure have promoted the heck out of this new Star Trek series. I had a chance to watch the first episode yesterday and despite many online reviews and comments about it being a slow start, I found it quite interesting and entertaining. I look forward to how this will develop.

I would but, I don't have cable/internet. Love all things Star Trek.

Was just about to start a thread on it myself! As a massive TNG fan I was really pleased with the first episode. Amazing special effects too.

Definitely a show I'd like to watch but I'm not paying for that streaming service. Perhaps when season 1 is complete I'll purchases the service for 1 month and watch it.

I read the review yesterday about the slow start. Glad to hear that it looks good.

I'm with the OP. Enjoyed it also. Am interested to see where the story goes and to see the old crew (or at least some of them).

I may sign up for the free week just to see it but I’m getting really annoyed with all these different premium networks. I would much rather pay a one time one view rental fee and be done with it.

We just watched episode one tonight. Very intriguing. Much better (limited comparison) than the Discovery series, IMO. We stopped watching that about 1/2 way through Season 1.

Funniest items so far? He calls his dog Number One! And..."Earl Gray, Decaf!"

I laughed yesterday when I read about Number One. Great writing.

Nope. I haven't dropped the Dish yet, and won't pay for any more television until the system gets it's act together.

Too many packages.

I watched Season 1 of Discovery on the plane's entertainment system over a period of weeks. It was kind of hit and miss for me. I think it was the characters rather than plot.

I saw that on the recap show with Wil Wheaton on youtube I saw that they also had a flash back scene with a de-aged Brent Spiner on the Enterprise D as a token bei s thrown to us Gen X Trekkies.

Signed up on Amazon for the CBS channel tonight and watched episode 1. TNG is one of my all time favorite shows, and when it came out to stream I watched all the episodes again. Really like this new show, and Patrick Stewart sets the tone from the start. The visuals are really impressive, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

3 episodes in and we are enjoying it. We signed up to Amazon Prime especially for Picard.
In the 2 seasons of Discovery so far, I think there’s only been one bad episode. My wife and I are Trek fans though.
