It's been a while since we've seen any Halcyon NGDs. Where are the new Halcyon owners? I'm eagerly awaiting my second.

What have been the wait times for your Halcyons? I have been looking at the dates and build numbers in the thread and I think mine will end up being a 2 year wait. Seems getting to builds has been taking longer. Maybe I counted dates wrong. I'm not the sharpest hammer in the bag.

When I asked last Feb, it was already a 10-12 months wait

I got an e-mail a couple weeks ago that build 251 should be starting soon. Gotta say my excitement skyrocketed.

My last build came in at around 1.5 years, although there were a couple of hiccups with finding the wood and then a retop that had to be done due to a shop mishap, which added some time to the delivery. My current build is approaching 18 months, so I figure wait times are going up a bit as Ed does seem quite busy.

My build is currently at 18 months so I would say your estimate is pretty accurate.

WOW
2 years??
Man, it wont go down either.
Neither will prices.
If only there were any new or like new ones for sale around here some people wouldnt have to wait. ;-)

Idk the current pricing and times on Proulx guitars but 5 years ago prices started at $11K and build times were 10 or 11 years.

Buckle-up and enjoy the Halcyon ride up the price and buildtime mountain!

WOW, good luck and...if you're currently waiting, you will be happy you did when your new custom built dream-guitar arrives.

With the Proulx example you cite the insane end of guitar market dynamics, so I don' t understand the comparison. But yes I will be happy when Ed gets to my guitar.

Great looking guitar! I was in the Halcyon shop the other day and wow that walnut is amazing looking stuff! The Adirondack top is amazing too!
You are one lucky owner! Apart from the beauty of the woods the tap tone on the flamed walnut was incredible. Now off to think about ways to convince my wife about the need for another Halcyon guitar, hahahaha
