Downsizing
We're always talking about the next acquisition, but it's come time for me to thin the herd a bit and thought I'd get thoughts and opinions. I know this is highly subjective, and I really enjoy each of my guitars in their own way, but I've got way too many. I play mostly fingerstyle but also pick, mostly blues, jazz, folk, some country and bluegrass.
The ones I am thinking of selling: Huss and Dalton road series 000 12 fret 2004 D-18 2016 00-18 2013 L-00 2022 G-00 MMV 1998 OM-15 Eastman E2OM-CD I have a GPC-15ME that I bought new so I may keep it just for the warranty. And it blows me away each time I play it. So which 2-3 would you chop off the block?? I need to free up around 2500. |

Mostly fingerstyle? RP almost had it - but I say keep the H&D, Eastman and the 00-18, and sell the rest.

We all have different tastes, but the H&D and the 00-18 would be my keepers. Based on the ones I've played, they don't sound anything alike.

Sell the 2 or 3 you play the least.
Keep the guitars you play the most.

I'd let go of the Eastman, mmv, G-00 and one of the 15's. (I'd probably keep the GPC, I want to have oner cutaway) |

Since your objective is to raise money... To get a good price, you have to have the right buyer. If you list all of them for sale, then you have more chances of connecting with the right buyers.

Keep them all. Sell the car. Priorities.

That’s exactly what I did. If the H&D sells I can probably keep the rest or maybe sell 1-2. Love the H&D but I’ve never had a guitar this nice and I’m afraid to touch it. Seriously, each time I play it I realize how nice it is, but back in the case the queen goes each night.

Here, it sounds like the H&D is very dear to you. In this case, I wouldn't sell the H&D. Keep it. Play it. Enjoy it. I think you have plenty of other guitars that are popular enough to get sold at good prices. Anyway, whatever you decide: Good luck ! |

If it were me I’d sell the G00,MMV and Eastman. It’s not me though. I think Brucebubs probably got it right—sell the ones you play the least.

Keep the H&D (and stop being afraid to enjoy it….it’s just a thing, not a baby!), the D-18 and the 00-18. Sell the rest.
