I'm confused.....is this a poll choice between a used/new Special 16 or buying a D28 Modern Deluxe. I need a score card.....

This morning I stopped at GC to try Les Pauls, (I want one!). I also a d-18 MD to confirm my opinion from when I tried one a few years ago.
I love the sound of the MD, but I don't feel any difference between an MD neck and a standard Martin neck. I know they carve it different, but in my opinion if you are having problems with the standard Martin neck, the MD neck is not going to solve the problem. Want to have some fun, get a Les Paul!!!!!!!!
