The words go like this, “I’d rather be a sparrow than a snail. Yes I would, if I could. I surely would...Ooo Ooo”. Anyone knows this song or the title of this song?
El Condor Pasa - Simon and Garfunkel did a version of it.

Thank you for the title of the song! I learned this song a long time ago...brings back nostalgic memories.

Another 4-finger open G here.

I usually go with an E to check tuning and then into D an G to check what it sounds like for me. And it has to be the 4 finger G too

I mentioned back on the first page that I always form a G - four finger G as described, but I failed to say that I also tune my guitars to the chord, which means that I tune 1st to the 3rd fret G, 2nd to 3rd fret D, 3 &4 open, 5th to the 2nd fret B and 6th to the 3rd fret G.

This compensates for any sharpness I'll get from fretting the chord - and when I fret a C shape etc.

See :

(sorry about the voice - only a few months after my throat cancer treatment).

Usually a G chord but once in a while a D.

My fingers fall onto an Am.

No idea what the first chord I learned was. It's far too long ago.

4 pages, and only one other person starts on a C. I'm the normal one. The rest of you are all freaks (except Guitar George).

After tuning with an electronic tuner I play a first position E major. That tells me if the open strings are in tune, pretty much. Then a first position G major, which sometimes results in sweetening the low E string. Next a first position D major, to sweeten the B string. Strumming with a purpose.

Four finger C major and then E major, both in the first position.
