Glenn,
Very fresh approach artistically! I like it and I know you have to be proud of it. Mike

Thanks for the comments. As always, as I approach the end of one guitar I start thinking about the next. Since this guitar was a workshop for some ideas I've had for a good while I've learned a lot, and am happy to say certain design features seemed to be very successful.

Awesome--you've got some great stuff going on here! Love the organic nature and feel of this guitar...

It took me a while to remember the original art you're referring to but as I recall, they are facing each other and embracing. How will you highlight those human like features ? Very cool project !!!

John

Yes, I meant that they were nude of finish, but I was also making an inside joke with myself. In the early seventies I was quite involved with the New York art scene. I worked for an artist named Chuck Close who had just completely tossed out his Yale grad school style to totally reinvent himself. He'd started a painting that was a sixteen foot long, photorealistic, reclining nude. During the course of painting the long canvas he retaught himself how to make a painting. His paintings now sell for millions of dollars.
This guitar has been sort of like Chuck Close's reclining nude painting for me. (except for the millions of dollars part!) I wanted to reinvent the way I was building, and develop my own style.
