Default Martin Keith's Healdsburg preview...(Birdseye content!)

Hi folks,

Just in the final moments of packing up for Healdsburg!
I'm really looking forward to it.

Here are a few "non-studio" preview snaps of this year's show guitar...
Specs are as follows:

-Baritone, tuned B-B
-Auriole body shape, with cutaway, 16.5" width
-Birdseye maple back and sides, Sitka top
-Wenge fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece, bindings, and trim
-Height-adjustable sliding neck joint
-Fanned frets - 27.5" bass side to 26.5" treble side
-"Dot-in-circle" face markers, luminous side dot markers

This set of birdseye was a joy to work with from beginning to end, and I still haven't gotten over how great it looks. (Luckily, I've got 3 more just like it!)

Enjoy!

Back (birdseye indeed!):

End graft/tailpiece:

I'm very pleased with how this one came out, and am sure looking forward to hearing some other folks play it at the show. Just a few days now...!

Cheers,
Martin

Nice work Martin. I look forward to seeing it in person. I like the way the tailpiece doesn't cove that nice end graft inlay.

Ken - thanks for the kind words! It will be great to meet you in person.
I'll have a non-cutaway standard-tuned guitar there as well, in figured mahogany. Also, just for fun, one of my electric basses. Why not?

Looking forward to seeing everybody there!

Cheers,
Martin

I very much like your fretboard position markers.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the great comments - I just hope to have a chance to get away from the table long enough to try some of the incredible instruments I've been seeing posted here in the last few days! Really looking forward to it all...

Cheers,
Martin
