Larry,

I'm starting to get the feeling you like Ray Kraut's guitars

Seriously, though I'm certainly not at the skill level to fully appreciate everything his guitars have to offer, it's clear from viewing that they are at the state of the art. Great playing, too!

Don't know how I missed your build thread before -- thanks for including the link.

Greg

fine sounding guitar Larry, nice to see a player of your ability support a talented maker. As I said before the your 'OM' has a very musical tonality whilst not overly strident like some of the current 'acoustic models'.
There are parallels with the classical guitar making world in that the quest for something more is gained at the expense of the tonal nature of the instrument.

I was at the Northwest Instrument Show in Portland on Saturday. I had my son with me (the real player in the family). We stopped to talk to Ray (he was on my list of builders to talk to). He remembered my from last year. I was amazed.

I made Tad (my son) play to of Ray's guitars. One of them was yours, Larry. The other one is Don Latarski's. Tad and I know Don from the U of O.

As Larry says, Ray's guitars are truly amazing. Ray invited Tad and to some see his shop. I intend to take him up on it. I keep trying to figure out how to swing getting one of his guitars, even though for me it would be total overkill.
