Default Recording I threw together....

Hello everyone.

Worked on this over a couple days. Drums are programmed, everything else is live instrumentation (acoustic guitar, bass, keys).

Mix isn't 100%, but should give an idea. I want to go back and beef up the drum samples a bit eventually, but check it out regardless!

Hi Sammy.

I like it. It's definitely "nice".

I like the tune because it's easy to listen to, and flows well.

I like that it's not overdone, or a "let me show you a few cools licks" piece.

My only "concern" (as a guy who works in a studio mixing audio for commercials) is that the bass ... for my taste is a bit muddy or heavy. As a result overtakes the mix in places.

Yet, in fairness, you said this isn't a final mix.

Nice Job!

Cool! It would make a pretty neat sound track to a movie or video. At just under 9 minutes and with not much melody in long passages, this would be too long for standard play. However, I found it very relaxing to listen to, while my mind wandered to other places...which is exactly what ambiance tracks should facilitate, IMHO! Nice work!

Boy do I like that!!! It sure does sound like a soundtrack. Of course as a poor singer songwriter I hear vocals coming in right after that awesome intro at the 1 minute mark. Every once in a while a song with the right mood almost "sounds like and tells a story like 4 minute movie". This song gives me that vibe. VERY cool.

Thanks to each who listened!

Colbyjack: yeah, mixed sounded entirely different through my headphones compared to when I listened through my DM-2100s AFTER posting it...:P

Final cut will be better methinks.
