Either a Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster or a Guild Newark Street Aristocrat. Yes, I own acoustics.

Okay. It had been a while, and I was wondering what you were leaning toward....

Are you hoping to stock electrics that might appeal to acoustic players? Or are you seeking "electrics?"

I am primarily an acoustic player but through the years have played electrics off and on. About 10 years ago, after playing Lowden acoustics exclusively for about 15 years, I decided to pick up an electric again and went looking. I couldn't find anything in my price range that felt right and ended up building three partscasters. Nut width, neck profile, and radius were very important to the guitar feeling right.

If I was to purchase an electric today, I'd look for a tele style guitar with 1 3/4 nut, a flatish radius, and a very resonant body. I don't know of any large factory company that builds that but there are a number of boutique builders who would... or I would do a partscaster again.

I am mostly an acoustic player. But, I do own a telecaster and enjoy playing it for some songs. My next electric will be an archtop, full hollow-body. Probably it'll be an Epi or the Gretsch Electromatic.

I recently bought a Taylor T5 and I'm waiting on it to arrive in a couple weeks.

In the meantime, I've had a few electrics for sale on the local Craigslist and that's generated more trade offers than anything else. I traded an inexpensive Les Paul clone for an Ibanez 4 string bass since I didn't have a bass to begin with.

Another person I've met before is offering an MIM Tele and case in trade for an Epi LP Traditional Pro. Neither of us has a use for the guitar we own, so this could be a win/win trade.

I barely seem to be reducing the number of electrics I have, but what I'm winding up with is more fun than I was having before, so I guess it all works out in the end.

Hey Brad...you should have stopped by Maple leaf on your way out...I went in to buy some strings before I left town, the young man was changing strings on a G & L Bluesboy in LAKE PLACID BLUE!...be still my heart. Yes, RW fretboard. Only downside for me was the neck was not gun oil tinted, just a little to white for my liking. WHEW!

If there's even gonna be one, it would probably be another Taylor SolidBody, but a doublecut with a tremolo this time.

Maybe a T3/B is a better idea, I don't know.

My next electric will be an American Vintage (exact reissue) Jazzmaster...olympic white with a dark tortise shell pick guard in a tan case with the dark yellow plush lining...mmmm. Yes, I also play acoustic (most of the time) I play fingerstyle steel string on a Larrivee L09...my next acoustic will be a Collings OM2H. I would indulge myself today but funds don't permit....however, I am about to order an Orchid Muting DI from you guys this month.

IF I buy another electric, I'll be looking more towards strat/tele sounds. Not sure I want exactly the Fender look though. There's some guitar builders around whose prices are not all that high, for what they do.

Hollow body - Epi Casino or something similar. In no rush - will be buying used preferably.

Maybe another amplifier to add to the fold, have been thinking about Fender Princeton Reverb reissue or Hot Rod Deluxe. My Mustang III does clean sound really well so this is a pure speculation at the moment.

My Fernandes strat and CVC Tele are a great combination that keeps challenging my limited electric chops
