Though it's a different scale length and top voicing here is a baritone he built a few weeks ago, and his model called Alizé, a very responsive guitar, almost classical-like. Played and recorded by Jean-Michel Genoud. It should sound somewhere between these two :-)

the dreadnought baritone : spruce/cocobolo 28 - 26.5

the Alizé : spruce/olive ash, 26.25

The box is bound and purfled ! I absolutely love the look, very sober and classy. I cant' wait to see it under finish.
I couldn't be happier with the chosen woods. It looks gorgeous !

Neck is next.

To the next time,

Ben

Hi all,

The guitar is ready for the finishing process. I'm astonished. I think the line and proportions are perfect. What else could I say ? I have a hard time convincing myself it is going to be mine...
I couldn't be happier ! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do.

PS: please zoom out, I don't know how to calibrate the pictures...

Hello

What a beautiful guitar !
Very surprised to see a guitar build by Thomas, in this forum.
I'm French and I'm an artist who played an Alizé by Thomas during 10 years. The Alizé "Fleur de Lys" model.

He's one of the best Luthier in France. You will have a beautiful guitar.

Cheers
Shaï

Absolutely gorgeous!!
If I had to nitpick, it would be the use of darker timber for the leading edge of the cutaway. Having said that, a continuation of the maple binding could have been a touch too much, so it's hard to say what was the better choice!

He wanted a harder wood for that location so the reason is mainly fonctionnal. It doesn't bother me, and I like it !

I live in Belgium, but I think he deserves some space in this forum !

I tried at least ten guitars from him : 0, 000, OM, Alizé, 12-strings, baritones... all of them were oustanding. I'm sure mine will be as well :-)

Very pretty guitar. I am particularly impressed by the excellent maple joints. Clean and accurate. The maple arm rest fits nicely
