I took this on Saturday night with my cell phone.

I'm told the smaller light to the left of the moon is Mars.

I like how the moon lights up the water, kind of like a pathway.

There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to Heaven
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Oh oh oh oh and she's buying a stairway to Heaven

I nearly followed a pathway like that once. Alcohol might have been involved...as would have wet clothes had I took that path!

:-)

This is called the Phantom Terrace. It's name comes from the difficulty in spotting the path until you get pretty close to it. It is cut into the side of a mountain and is pretty wild.

If you haven't spotted the path yet, it goes to the folks on the ridge. This
was on Sunday, it was in the 70s up there ... it's snowing up there right now, and the total might approach two feet.

Thanks! The museum allows tripods as long as you're not in anybody else's way. I used a tripod and a small hand-held LED light with a 1/30sec exposure (jest checked...). Plus I got lucky...lol

San Francisco this morning (not my image, co-worker posted it just now). Looks like something out of Blade Runner. Same skies here where I live, very dark, very weird.

Shot of loon on a small lake in Maine called Minnehonk near Mt. Vernon, Maine in 2019. The wife and I stayed in a cabin on the lake we rented via Airbnb.

Up near the northwestern border of the ACT (Aust. Capital Territory), our little jurasdiction establihed in 1911 to accomodate Canberra, the national capital.

Still a way to go to fill up (if it gets there at all this year) but Corin Dam, the highest of our water storage impoundments, is looking much better now than it did last summer when it almost dried up completely.

Looking south from the dam wall to Mt. Bimberi, the highest point in the ACT on our western boundary to adjacent New South Wales.

And looking north to Tidbinbilla.
