That is a nifty little box you got there! It's the same internal circuitry as my MS-2?

Default Stage DI-2 shares circuitry with MS-2

Yes, that's correct! The Stage DI-2 Prestine shares the design with the MS-2. Both units use the same key hand-selected components for huge effortless dynamic range and clarity.

Cheers
Sunny

The sunnaudio stuff has
me curious. It is top notch stuf for sure. Ive had the original felix since its inception . and the felix 2
has made the right upgrades. if i ever blow
up my felix i may consider
sunnaudio. but grace stuf is pretty
rugged.

After watching Aaron Shorts video on the Sunnaudio Di-2 , I was very impressed . Just goes to show a K&K can sound as good or better than a pricier alternative when dialed in and this seems the box to do it . That being said I know the Sunnaudio Di-2 is not cheap but at the same time seems well worth it to me . Very impressed .

I've really enjoyed mine. Between that, the dazzo pickup and mic and my S1 Pro, I've never had a better live sound and get compliments on it all the time. News channel did a little segment on a farmers market I was playing a few weeks ago. Watching the segment later that evening, (maybe hoping for a little air time/exposure, which I did not get) even though the tv speaker, you could hear the clarity and projection of the system in the background. I am very happy with it.

Default My Experience with Amplified Sound and Sunnaudio

This is a little test clip jamming through the PA.

Recording King with Dazzos + internal sunnaudio Mic > MS-2 in MS mode.
Yamaha classical with Dazzos, no mic > Stage DI-2 - both into Behringer mixing board > Yamaha 12" powered monitors.

@Sunny - may I ask what the differences are between the ‘newly updated’ Stage DI-2 Prestine and the original version please?

I think it's the finish, the power light and, the most awesome update, an outside the box sweepable mid control. It was there before, but you would need to open the DI to access it.

That's correct! The new Stage DI-2 Prestine was updated to:

1. Move Mid-EQ Freq adjustment to an external control
2. Improve LED power monitor; Green for 9V, and Blue-Green for 11-12Vdc and 48V phantom
3. Premium Satin-Matte powder paint

Talking Customer comments on new Stage DI-2 Prestine

This email was received this morning from a customer on the updated Stage DI-2 Prestine:

"Received the pedal today. Connected my acoustic guitar - straight to a Mixpre 10T recorder. Adjusted the volume and was honestly shocked at how my guitar sounded.

I am out of words, so warm, thick, big and rich sound. I truly, truly salute you. I was completely laughing as I was strumming my guitar, that's how impressed I was. The EQ so fantastic, adjusting the mids perfected my guitar sound.

Using the James May Ultratonic pickup on my guitars by the way and what a combination. I am totally satisfied now."

Congratulations, Sunny! It seems a really great small package preamp, with a LOT for the small footprint!
