Post CBSM Clint Black Sig Model - Opinions please!

OK, I need you all's help here...
Who owns, or has played the CBSM and what do you think. How does it compare to say... a 814bce or K14c etc. I know it's a 12 body, but I heard it's very balanced.

Thanks in advance gang!

Taylorman,
If I remember correctly the CBSM is basically a 912CE with different ornamentation. I would not expect it to sound anything like a koa K14 but since it is Rosewood I would expect a similar sound to an 814CE. The difference between the CBSM or most any other 900 series and most 800 series it that the standard top on the 900's like the CBSM is Engleman spruce wheras the 800's other that limiteds are sitka spruce.
Hope that helps.

Hi Taylorman
CBSM was really a gorgeous piece. the inlay was stunning. It was basically a 900 series with special inlay. Clint Black Played a 912 Cindy prior to it,and still may as far as I know. I thought it was Kinda high priced all things in consideration. Best Price I could find was at Buffalo Bros local dealer wanted 2 times as much for one. I played an 812 the other day that was great at about 1/3 the cost.

according to Taylor's price list, it listed for $8000! Is that right? Not sure Clint got his mind completely untangled.

It is 8000!
But I actually sent it back, because the 12 size is just not the best for my styles of play.
I now have ordered a PS14C. That oughta do it for me~!

I never played a Clint Black ... I'm not one who's big on Taylor GCs ... you're going to love that PS-14. I don't have a PS-14 Brazilian, but I do have a GA-BE (which is similar) ... I can't see a CBSM getting anywhere close to it.
