Smile 2000 Pre-NT Taylor K-14c W/OHSC VG+ SOLD AGF pending approval

BOSS OLD KOA Taylor: SOLD AGF PENDING APPROVAL

One more drop!!! and split actual shipping!

I JUST LOWERED THE REVERB PRICE. BUT SOMEONE HERE ON AGF WILL LOVE THIS!

Yes, the world is NUTS, but this will make staying home a LOT nicer for the next owner.

And was $2450 on Reverb.

Someone in the AGF family will LOVE this.

https://reverb.com/item/32920144-tay...nt-neck-w-ohsc

Was Down to $2250 shipped, due to slight cosmetic booboos on top of Headstock. See pics below

Was Asking $2450 shipped and insured AGF.

Pretty sure this was over $4K originally... I will try to check with Taylor.

Some of the sweetest Koa ever... this stuff doesn't grow on trees! Oh wait, yes it does, you just can't get it anymore in this spectacular figuring and condition!

Recently dialed at Taylor Repair, El Cajon, where they upgraded to Gotoh 510 tuners.

No electronics, ever.

SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and plays like butter!

Structurally perfect. Has a few SLIGHT finish flaws including one 2 1/2" Top finish check, on bass side of the Fretboard extension. I was assured at Taylor Repair, El Cajon that it is finish only and the wood is solid. I shined a bright mag light inside and can see NO light thru the top. I can just feel the check with my nail, but not my fingertips...
Also has a few love taps around the soundhole.

It HAS been played, but any issues are purely cosmetic IMO, and the PLAYABILITY and TONE ARE OUTSTANDING

Tons of pics and much more long winded description on Reverb.

Always happy to yak guitars with AGF folks! 619-445-1189. 9-9 PDT

RUMBLE posted this this morning:

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BUYER. I Just received the 1994 Taylor 512c that I purchased from Paul. Over the moon stoked and howling!! Paul gave an excellent description with super friendly conversation with his knowledge on these early Taylor models...

Thanks Rumble!!! We aim to please...

What better way to "social distance" than cuddling up with this beauty!!!

Play on AGF,

Stay Home, Live Long, have FUN

Paul

Oh yeah...K14!! That Koa just makes my mouth water. Anyone who has ever owned a guitar with Koa knows that they always delight the visual senses in an undeniable way. Not to mention that it is hard to find Koa like this these days too...the good stuff is already on guitars like this one. And those pre-2000 guitars are just really solid. In my mind, they are better than the new ones in many ways.

If you haven't worked with Paul, know that he is a GREAT guy to work with. Not only a great guy and musician, but he has connections...namely his connections with great Taylor luthiers who dial his stuff in to the highest standards of playability. Count on getting a great guitar and a great experience with Paul.

Buy with confidence!

Thanks Mike! Same back at ya. We all miss seeing your beauties on the famous table!

Pics20200323_113023.jpg20200323_113445.jpg20200323_113534.jpg20200323_114129.jpg

On further inspection I found some minor finish lift and a couple tiny dings on top of Headstock. Sorry I missed these before! I took these pics in harsh light.

Face and sides of Headstock are lovely, as I tried to show...

Again the back and sides are quite pristine, and the top has a handful of tiny love taps and one straight 2 12" finish check just above the FB extension. Check is in line with grain, and does not seem to break the smooth top of finish.

No one is going to be looking at the headstock when they could ogle this KOA.

I am tired of the term social distancing. From now on, I am an ARTIST IN RESIDENCE...

cheers

Paul

Default No worries buying from this seller.

Here is a plug for a great seller, musician and human being. I recently purchased one of Paul’s 25 year old Limited Edition Taylor guitars and received it on Wednesday.
1995 "Golden Age" Taylor GAMC EX+
https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=573002

The guitar is EVERYTHING Paul described and more! Great tone fingerstlye, great aesthetics, and amazing tone picked and strummed. The guitar was packed so well, it took me 20 minutes to get it out of the box and case ;-)
Paul is great to talk to on the phone and answered all my questions without hesitation. He included some unusual swag in the case as well. Including a shower sponge, and a tube sock I lost in my dryer about 5 years ago! But seriously, a potential buyer should not have any reservations to take what Paul states in his for sale add description, as it will be better than described!

Best luck on your sale Paul!

Smile Thanks MrYelnats

Thanks Stan!!! I am so pleased all is as we hoped! I enjoyed talking with you. If you are coming to San Diego we hope to meet you and your wife. After this current storm settles down.

BTW, that Ocello sponge never was NEVER in the shower! It went straight from the Dollar Store into a ziplock with a few hundred fork tine holes. Wet and then BLOT till only damp, NOT WET!!!
Makes a fine humidifier for less than $.50. If u forget it at a gig or jam, no sweat! And even better it has nothing to scratch or ding your axe and nothing to leak inside the sound box either.

I really do take great pride in getting these instruments to their peak of performance capabilities...

And also in making sure what I am sending is what we both feel you really need and want.

Let's talk if YOU are interested in THIS KOA GEM

Stay home, live long, prosper, have fun,

Paul

Smile Bump

I have dropped the Reverb price considerably, but it is still a better deal here on the AGF !

Stay home, party in place…

Cheers and Salud!
