00-17 50 pending sale
Heres a lovely sounding and playing 50 Martin 00-17. I am in need of a wider nut these days and hoping to fund a prewar Martin 0-17 or older Gibson with a 1 3/4 nut. I am mostly interested in selling but also open trades for vintage or modern acoustics with a wider nut than 1 11/16. Other than the slim neck this everything I would want in a vintage Martin tone wise.
I bought this from the grandson of the original owner. I had a professional luthier perform a couple of repairs and of course a set up so the playability and intonation are spot on. Professional repairs and other information: Neck reset Glue and cleat the center seam and a small b string crack Plane a small amount of material in fret board at the 14th fret to take out a small hump then reinstall and level the frets Install a new bone saddle Install a sound hole pickup (Fishman rare earth) sounds amazing. *all repairs where done using hot hide glue. * original bridge, bridge plate, and ebony nut, * original beige pins and saddle will be shipped in the compartment of the HSC. $3500 shipped to the lower 48. Non original tuners are vintage deluxe Klusons and work perfectly. Because of the light overspray this is a great value for awesome playing and sounding 50s 00-17. Really amazing resonance, punch, clarity and that natural reverb when lightly played. Please dont hesitate to reach out if have any questions. Last edited by Huntere23; 03-04-2024 at 04:24 PM.
