I posted this to another Lightfoot thread. A great source for basic lyrics and chords is www.lightfoot.ca

Lots and lots of songs to choose from, and lots of fun to pluck them out

As a kid, my older brother used to like Gordon Lightfoot, and got me hooked. Saw him in Reno in the early 90's when I was in my early 20's (they made a DVD of it). Saw him a year or so ago in North Las Vegas and even though he was looking a bit frail, he still churned them out! GL will always have a place in my heart

Get in your last contributions to the Gordon Lightfoot thread. Next Wednesday I will tally up all the various entries and pull the name of the prize winner out of the hat.

OK, I'm back!

This was recorded with my Zoom H4N, no external mics. I was using my Guild D-125, which is a solid mahogany guitar. No post-processing here. This is straight from the Zoom.

I am playing Alberta Bound here, but I usually play it slower than Lightfoot. Anyway, I hope you enjoy...

Nice job! The Zoom makes a nice recording, too.

Excellent thread everyone. Got to listen to some awesome GL songs! Now on to the May showcase, featuring songs from movies and TV.
