Dazzo Question From A Newbie
I know it would be best to contact Teddy but being a holiday, I'll post my question here first. Looking at my Dazzo set there's the white housing that has a smooth, white surface on one side with the other side having a kind of rough black surface with a red-piping around the perimeter of the housing and a glued edge seal. I've plugged my Dazzo set into the Steel Guitar Black Box and listened with headphones. Tapping on the Dazzo transducers, I can get a signal from both the white smooth side and the black sealed side of each transducer, Here's my dumb question:
Given a lack of installation instructions, I assume that the smooth white side of the transducer housing is the side that gets epoxied to the bridge plate. Is correct? Thanks!

What are the materials for both sides? Plastic?
What are the dimensions (triangle side, and thickness)? The white part seems almost transparent, we can nearly see another triangle inside drawn by the sidewall sickness... If you Pandapandelo is right about the HFN like tone, it might tell us the piezo sensor is on the white side (base)... since we know the HFN suspend the sensor far from the saddle line. Interesting...

.750 inches (19.1 mm) radius-to-radius x .271 inches (6.88 mm) thick Physical Appearance: White Housing: likely a phenolic-type compound. Black Housing Cap: it almost looks like carbon fiber or maybe a black phenolic-type material. The Black Cap is sealed around its perimeter with thin red material with what appears to be clear glue on top of it (clear epoxy or cyanoacrylate, i.e., super glue?).

Teddy has used white plastic, a black plastic and a variety of wood choices.
Teddy uses sand paper to rough up the bottom of the pickup to allow it to stick better to the wood. The whole bottom surface has glue applied to it. The smooth part is there in case you decide to remove the pickup someday. You would insert a razor blade between the wood and the pickup at that top of the triangle.

The white composite side goes down on the guitar wood plate to be glued down . Whereas the black wooden lid (sometimes red wood lids , not in your case ) goes side 'up' for decoration and looks ( just kidding ). I do have a video (for anyone who wants to know ) on youtube called 'dazzo installation' that walks thru some of this . One note is that you will notice a rough part and a smooth part near the tail where the wire goes in . This smooth part is for easy removal . I use a razor and kind of poke/ pry it under that point and the glue wont bond (hopefully) too much to that part . Teddy

I have found a better glue that actually holds the pickup better because its sticky and gooey and doesnt drop the pickup like in the video . Its called "Loctite 6 minuet epoxy gel " and is available online or at ACE hardware

Dazzoman, I remember seeing something not too long ago about experimenting with using tape to install them. Any news on that front?
