Godin ACS SA defying the odds!
I've had a few of these over the years. The one I currently have I got in pretty much mint condition from GC Used Online well over a year ago. It's not the 'slim' variety; it has the standard 1 7/8" nut width, which I prefer.
Aside from its good looks - it has a spalted maple top (I think!) - it has amazing flexibility and playability. I have La Bella 2001 Hard Tension strings on, and the the action is set low, making it a breeze to play. But what's remarkable, at least for me, with a nylon string guitar, is just how well the guitar responds to altered tunings. The strings are well worn in and have added flexibility because of this. Nonetheless, I've never known a nylon string guitar be so good with varied tunings. Right now, I have it in open C - C,G,D,G,C,D - with no buzzing on the low C. I've also had it in DADGAD, open G, and dropped D. Switching between these tunings requires a little retuning for the first play or two but very little. I have always considered altered tunings to be a bit of a no-go with nylon string guitars because of the added volatility of the strings. I'm not finding that the case with this guitar.

That's a big plus. The guitar must have a nice setup. I'm guessing the La Bella Hard Tensions are also contributing to how well it's sounding. I'd stick with high tension strings for this kind of usage, keeping in mind that actual tensions may vary all over the map between manufacturers, so another brand of HT's may or may not perform as well.
