I just found a used one for $99 so I scooped that up as I was looking for something like the K&K belt clip amp (battery powered) but that also had a notch. Just ordered today so will give a review in a week or so when I get it.
Wow. An EDM-1 under a hundred dollars! A steal. Great find. Super unit.

I thought the same thing. I've been thinking about giving one a try for a while and then when I read this thread I Googled them to get the current price and saw that one of $99 and jumped on it!

Another also ran... LR Baggs Gigpro. Battery powered, not phantom, 1/4" out, doesn't say if it's balanced. But paired with an ordinary direct box should do the job. I should say - it can SUPPLY 9v phantom power, but doesn't RUN on 48v phantom power.

Hurricane and "phantom stocking" have conspired against me so far, but I finally have one (SB-4) actually enroute.

Got the JJB 330 installed, sounds great with the bass cut, a little bright but not at all quacky (they were new strings after all, and I play a wound 2nd string on the ABT60)

the OM-240CE is getting its UST ripped out for a JJB soon too
