1949 Gibson LG-2 $2600 shipped **new photos added**
Excellent sounding LG-2. X braced spruce top, mahogany back and sides. 1-11/16ths nut, with a nice round C shape profile. The neck size is perfect to me; i actually thought the nut might have been wider by the feel of it.
I was told it had a neck reset and has had a top brace reglued for sure. It creaks a little when pressed on the sound board near that brace, so I'm not sure if it needs to be worked on again or not. I got it recently through a partial trade at Thunder Road here in Portland. I'm selling purely for financial reasons. This is possibly the best sounding guitar I've ever owned. It's very versatile, sounds great both strummed and finger picked. I'm putting it up here for a few days and then will just be selling it back to Thunder Road if it doesn't sell. Not interested in trades unless cash is included, in which case I'd consider Waterloos. Here are a couple pics from Thunder Road; I'll add more later today. Please let me know if you have any questions. Guitar comes with a non-original chipboard case, but will be well packed for shipping. Last edited by mbilly; 09-20-2018 at 10:10 PM. |

Here are some photos of the string height. I'm unsure if the tuners are original.

Some additional photos. Buckle rash on the back, play wear around the sound hole, plus some finish wear on the bass side of the upper bout.
