1967 Gibson J50 $2300
For Sale this classic and extremely rare 1967 Gibson J-50 ADJ Natural dreadnought acoustic. The sound is AMAZING!!!
I purchased the guitar from Garrett Park Guitars out of Massachusetts (watch the video below, if you have them, use headphones to hear how incredible this guitar sounds!). When I received the guitar, I noticed the frets needed to be replaced, and there was typical crazing of the finish throughout, but hey, the guitar is a players guitar and is over 50 years old! Now I love how unique and beautiful it actually is. While in Arizona, I had my J-50 re-fretted by a luthier from the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery. We added a; bone adjustable bridge, tusk end pins and nut. Having preferred the sound from the original rosewood adjustable bridge, I took the guitar in to the best guitar repairman in AZ, Billy from B&D Guitar. Turns out the extra money I spent on a bone adjustable saddle and tusk end pins was money wasted. The original rosewood adjustable bridge sounds much warmer and the original end pins fit the guitar like a glove. There was an almost unnoticeable hairline fissure on the lower body running six inches from base upward, I had him fill as well. Billy from B&D set up the guitar for half-step down. In addition, I have kept ALL of the original parts; nut and even the old frets. The guitar has been housed along with proper humidity levels. I have the original case. This guitar is from 1967, just celebrated it's 50th year anniversary!!! And is such, has the proper wear present; nicks, scrapes, crazing, etc... a TRUE vintage acoustic guitar, not for sale. Plus actual shipping cost https://reverb.com/item/14885473-196...50-adj-natural Youtube video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0eBdiWEPx98 No longer for sale. Question
So, to be at pitch a capo would be needed or can she be tuned to pitch?
Thank you
