gotta say the C-1000 is OK when pushed through a PA live, but sucks in the studio. Here's a sleeper that should cost a lot more.

On my MacBook, I have connected Mic port and Axeport to 2 different USB ports and brought them up in Garage Band. I'm not sure all computers can do that.

Also, you cant go wrong with an SM-94. Even if you end up upgrading in the future, it will have a higher resale value as it is far more popular than other more exotic microphones.

I've been to a lot of studios, and have never seen one used as the go-to acoustic mic yet.

Not trying to be contrary, but there are better choices (my opinion based on doing acoustic recordings for over a decade now). It's ok, but not stellar...and my experience is it lacks detail compared to other comparable mics.

Better drum mic than acoustic guitar...

Good reputation (been around for a decade), decent internal preamps, nice options, full 48V phantom power, multiple inputs, multiple outputs, and dial-it- latency monitor on the hardware. Sturdy but not intrusive (nice size).

Been kept up to date by manufacturer…



Comes with software, and works with several other brands of software (including Audacity)...
