Thoughts (original)
Liberation from German occupation began in Holland this month 75 years ago. English, American and Canadian troups crossed our border in the South. It would take another eight months and incredible suffering before the whole of the country (and Germany) was liberated from the Nazis. Meanwhile my uncle died in a concentration camp. I wrote this song in his memory and to honour our liberators of whom so many gave their life for us, for our freedom.

With great appreciation for the song, the emotion and the remembrance of those who came before and sacrificed, Charlie.
Best, Fred
