Very smooth and relaxing. I played it while I was doing some vexing work, and it made it go better!

I've been listening to your compositions for years and always wanted to ask you this. When you compose do you outline it with the chord positions as anchors and then fill in between with the melody runs, resolving at each chord anchor/resolving point while at the same time have the chords within a progression or do you just do straight melody and then add the chords to fill it out?

Thanks guys.

Barry, no consitent way of composing though always an ear towards a melody line

Not up front being tied to pattern playing or diatonic chords gives a lot of freedom.

Noodling around time is usually playing different chords and progressions. The beginning
of a melody may come from that. For example playing around with the chords below I
could use the notes of the second string to get started on some melody.

x - x - x - x - x
4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 5
5 - 5 - 5 - 6 - x
5 - 4 - 6 - 5 - x
x - x - 4 - x - x
4 - 4 - x - 5 - x
