If you are not that good keeping time, like I am, you could look into Addictive Drums. I really like them and they are easy to use, and the most realistic softsynth out there which does not sound like a drum machine... even though they all do.

Addictive Drums are my choice also when adding/needing "live" full kit tracks.

Other than that I use whatever I can mic or loops.
