Cool Recommended Pickup for Nylon String Guitar?

While many classical guitars have no pickups, most crossover guitars have pickups which were designed for that guitar. My Martin 000C Nylon cutaway hybrid has a Fishman UST, and it sounds great! I can set my Marshall amp to color the sound if I wish, but I can also make the tone sound perfectly normal. I don't think it's the pickup...I think it depends on the amp your using!

And if you insist on installing a pickup, I use an external mic on my Antonio Hermosa AH-20. With a solid cedar soundboard, and rosewood b/s, it attached right behind the bridge, and it sounds fantastic! Cost me $10!

Hi, Glen.

What is the brand of the pickup attached to your Hermosa? I did some searching and couldn't find a similar, inexpensive one.

Would like to try the cheapest, least invasive route first. Don't need the pickup often so something like what you are using is appealing.

Thanks.

Larry
