Default Tell me about a Bourgeois Martin Simpson

This appeared on Craigs List near me;

https://catskills.craigslist.org/msg...055759418.html

It looks like a smokin deal since it's less than half the asking price on Reverb. I was interested until I saw that they have 2 3/8 string spacing at the bridge. That looks too wide for me but I think it might be just what some of you are looking for. I have nothing to do with this guitar.

Has anyone played one of these? What can you tell us about it?

That is a fabulous deal! I would say it should be priced around $2700-$2800....It appears to be in really good condition. I love my Martin Simpson....I think it’s probably the best guitar I’ve owned for dropped tunings like DADGAD. Very responsive and versatile instrument. If I were in that area I’d jump on that one! Good luck.

That is a fantastic price by a long margin. Bourgeois makes some of the finest guitars you can buy. I've never liked the look of the MS cutaway (MS has a number of signature guitars and they all have that cutaway) so I've never pursued a MS Bourgeois, but there is no question that is a seriously under priced magnificent guitar.

I sent an email with a few questions yesterday morning, but so far no answer.
