Default NGD - Voyage Air OM

Well, it's finally here. I decided to pass on my old Martin Paddle (a friend I play with has a nephew in the US Armed forces) and I bought the all solid OM with the upgraded tuners, nut, and saddle (just without electronics or cut-away).

I have it a few hours and all I can say is wow! I can't believe it how good it sounds and how small & light it is all folded up. 10/10 would do again. I can't wait to get down to my place in Florida (to darn cold here anyway).

I have one of these and it is the best travel guitar I have ever had. It is also a very respectable guitar in its own right. Congratulations!

Congratulations! I've had the pleasure of owning my Voyage Air OM for many years. It's kept me happy on many trips and camping excursions. It's a great guitar in it's own right but the icing on the cake is the portability.

Congratulations. I always thought that calling them a travel guitar does not do voyage air guitars justice, especially the all solid wood versions. I prefer to call them a very nice guitar that travels easily.

I’m another proud owner of a Voyage Air. Good guitar on its own and the best travel guitar available today.

Hi Mb

I agree. My Voyage-Air OM is a great sounding, easy playing guitar, and it also travels well.

I have a VAOM-06, which is not a current model, and I’ve gone thousands of miles with it already. You will like it!
The only real issue was the tuners, which were not any good. I replaced them with straight drop ins, and now it’s great! I installed a Baggs Lyric and a tortoiseshell Pickguard to replace the ugly pointed one.
Mine does fit in a classical case, but of course that kind of defeats the purpose of a folding guitar. Still, I only fold it to fly on an airliner and put it in the overhead.

Congrats! I didn't know VA was still in business but I had one many years ago. Great guitar but I sold mine since a) I didn't travel; b) I kept pinching my finger when folding/unfolding it; c) I realize I prefer short scale guitars.

I've had, and have, several and as I and others have written extensively on these, they are great instruments. Congratulations.
