USB Guitar Cable for Acoustic, are they bad?
Hey guys, im looking to record some music on my acoustic with a LR BAGGS ANTHEM pickup.
I want something SIMPLE and relatively cheap for its recording quality (bang for its buck/ high dollar value) Any suggestions!? PS: I basically only know how to use audacity and a bit of adobe auditions, not sure if this helps but just throwing it out there. Thanks in advance! |

I use an Apogee Jam and it works great for me.

The best acoustic sound recorded is going to come from miking the guitar, not using a pickup.
WIhta mic, you'll need an interface (converts audio to digital) or you can get a USB mic (has the A-D converter built in. I assume the device you're looking at (something like a Behringer inline converter) is 16 bit, and has no provisions for direct monitoring. Direct monitoring lets you hear previously-recorded tracks PLUS your new inputted track with zero latency (no delay between what you play and what you hear).
