Default CAD Software

Hello!
What is the best cad software for luthiers and cnc applications?
I'm comparing Autocad and Rhinoceros.
What do you think about them?
Thank you very much!

Depends on what you`re doing. Rhino is excellent for complex curved surfaces like arch tops or necks. A little more difficult to do in AutoCad IMO. If you`re just cutting flat parts any basic drawing program will work. In that case you want to be able to export arcs as such, instead of having the export interpolate the arcs.

Realuze however you need.CAM.sftware to generate toolpaths from your CAD. The more complicated your parts` surfaces, and the more control over the toolpath, the more expensive the CAM package will be.
