Identify mid frequencies on mixer.
This is probably a daft question but I’ll ask it anyway.
On my mixer the mid dial frequency extends from 150 hz to 750 (centered) and 3.5k. Obviously there are segments inbetween but I cannot work out what those segments actual frequencies are. I’m dire at maths so was wondering if anyone knows how to work it out. Or maybe just guess when sweeping the mids. Lol. |

For me, it’s always been a guess at the exact frequencies are. I have to ultimately trust my ear to determine what is good or bad and how much good or bad I want to boost or cut.

I boost the mid gain and sweep the mid frequency control until the problem frequency sounds its worst. Then instead of boosting, I'll cut right there at that frequency.

You can also put an RTA (real time analyzer on your smartphone). That will help you see the problem frequencies.
