12-string bridge holes ?
I have to drill the pin holes for my 12-string acoustic guitar.
Which layout would be best? I add two diffenent ones below: 1) 2)

You'll have more string clearance from the pin head of the shorter string with 2

You can also get the holes closer together with the bottom layout. In other words, you can get the courses tighter.

I like number 2 with the primary strings closest to the saddle - that's how Guild have always done theirs and that's what Martin switched to on their first true jumbo 12-string - the Martin Grand J12-40E Special.
It just works beautifully on those guitars.
